Brought to you by Arizona Professional Writers, the 2024 Payson Book Festival is a free community-wide celebration of books and literacy.

The annual Payson Book Festival will showcase author’s signed and sold fiction and non-fiction books of many genres and promoted literacy at a celebration of books for readers of all ages.

More than 300 people are expected from throughout the state to meet and speak to 80+ Arizona authors and enjoy a variety of activities at the event, and, of course, meet Story Monster!

Register by June 21 to join us!
$49 for 1 book, each additional book is $29.00

We will display and sell your books!

All registration proceeds to benefit Little Green Libraries!

 
 
 

Please note: You are welcome to attend the Payson Book Festival, however, due to space limitations, we will not be having author tables at this event this year.

Sign Up Deadline: Friday, June 21, 2024
All materials must be received by Story Monsters on or before Friday, July 6, 2024.

We will display your book at our booth at the festival and in our event flyer.
You do not need to be present to have your books sold!

  • Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of your book.

  • All books will be sold at 50% discount. Please add a sticker over retail price with discounted price.

    • Authors will receive 100% of their book sales from the event.

  • Submit 5 copies to be sold at the event, with proceeds to support Little Green Libraries in Title 1 schools.

  • Unsold copies to be donated to Little Green Libraries or returned at Author’s expense.

What do we need?  

❊ Please send 2 author-signed copies of your book(s) for the display at the booth.

❊ You may also send 5 author-signed copies of your book(s) to be sold at the event.
All books will be sold at 50% discount. Please add a sticker over retail price with discounted price.
❊ Authors will receive 100% of their book sales from the event.
❊ Books will not be returned and will be offered to be reviewed or donated on your behalf to a 501(c)(3) organization that supports children's literacy.

Do not send your books via Media Mail.  They will most likely not make it in time! Story Monsters is not responsible for any lost or missing books or materials.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Any requests to review your book will be sent to you via email. You will need to follow up with each requestor and plan to send a copy of your book to review. We recommend that you connect with each requestor right away. If that’s not possible, then within 48 hours of receiving the request. We have found that the authors who respond quickly increase their chances of receiving a review of their book. Our reviewers are excited to review your book!

  • We have found that sending a PDF file of your book is the easiest format to work from. If you wish, you can add a watermark that clearly says that the digital copy is for review only to your book file.

  • When a request to review a book is made, we supply a link to our Book Review form on our website. However, it always is helpful to also include the link to the form when you send the PDF. We recommend that you provide information on how to buy the book and also ask for the recipient to acknowledge receipt of the book.

  • If a reasonable amount has time has passed and you have not heard from a requestor, you may send a friendly follow-up email.

  • Any reviews we receive (either positive or critical) will be sent to you! We will only post 5-star reviews on our website. CLICK HERE to view a sample of book reviews we’ve received.
