Story Monsters is a highly relatable magazine for kids and adults of all ages. It covers various feature authors, little tips, and a dozen feature books.
Kids will find this magazine easy to read and motivational. A few authors share the story of how they became a writer. It tells us what challenges they overcame and what boulders on the way stopped them. Readers and writers will find connections with the authors and be more inspired than ever.
The magazine also shares tips like how to start a book club or publish a book, which middle school kids or high schoolers find fascinating.
I also love the pictures and photos on every page, which perfectly capture my attention and add the fun of reading.
In every magazine issue, there is also one movie that is reviewed and graded by professionals; for example, the film for February Issue is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania.
There is even a selection of hand-picked picture books that includes a short review, which makes it one step closer to finding a book!
Teachers and adults will also find this magazine extremely helpful. It highlights some essential factors in teaching students how to write and even offers helpful tips. Some issues have a theme; for example, the theme of the February issue is Black History Month. The magazine highlights that throughout the whole edition. It’s a splendid resource for teachers to teach their kids about this topic.
Story Monsters is a refreshing, entertaining, and thought-intriguing magazine. I highly recommend it to children, teachers, and adults alike.
