Ship Your Inventory

All books and merchandise should be shipped to our Story Monsters LLC location in Arizona.

Agreement Details:

Promotion:

Our retail spaces will be promoted via events, social media marketing (including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok), email and print advertising, mailers, and more!

Your participation in our retail spaces means you agree to be part of special in-store promotions (discounts) and permit us to include your mailed merchandise in promotional materials and images related to the booth.

We also encourage authors to actively promote their participation through their own channels to maximize visibility and engagement.

Merchandise:

• Merchandise will be accepted as space permits and on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Organizers are not liable for lost or stolen items.

Author-Signed Copies:

We request that all books sent to us be author-signed. To highlight this feature, please affix an “Author Signed” sticker on the front cover of each book. These stickers can be purchased through Story Monsters LLC at https://storymonsters.com/store/author-signed-copy-seal.

Shipping:

• Authors must provide tracking numbers once books are shipped to ensure proper monitoring and receipt.

• Organizers are not responsible for damages incurred during shipping.

• Organizers are not liable for lost or stolen items.

We will update inventory at each location in a timely manner.

Agreement Length:

Your contract agreement length starts 15 days after payment is received.

Family-Friendly Criteria:

All family-friendly titles will undergo a review by our selection committee.

We define family-friendly as content that is appropriate and enjoyable for audiences of all ages, particularly children, without including anything excessively violent, explicit, or disturbing. Generally meaning avoiding strong language, mature themes, or anything that could be considered inappropriate for younger viewers.

We reserve the right to return any inventory that we do not feel fits into that category. You are welcome to email us a PDF of your content if you need guidance.

Commission:

• Store: 10%

• Story Monsters LLC: 10%

• Story Monster Greenie Box™: 10%

• Author: 70%

This structure ensures that the majority of sales revenue is returned to you, the author while supporting the services and platforms that facilitate your book’s promotion and sales.

Commissions will be paid two times a year.

Unsold Inventory Options:

If your books or merchandise do not sell during the consignment period, you have the following options during sign-up:

1. Return of Inventory: You may choose to have any remaining inventory returned to you at your expense. This includes covering shipping and handling costs associated with the return. 

2. Donation to Story Monster Greenie Box™: Alternatively, you can opt to donate unsold items to our Story Monster Greenie Box™ program, which distributes books and educational materials to children and educators. This option not only supports literacy initiatives but also provides additional exposure for your work.

Publisher Independence:

Please note that your books do not need to be published by Story Monsters Press to participate. We welcome works from all publishers, provided they meet our family-friendly criteria.
